- CRAMPING! I don't ever remember it being this bad. There are times when I am doubling over, squeezing my eyes shut and breathing like I'm in labour.
- Tender breasts... My boobs constantly feel like they have been tightly bound in a sports bra for twenty hours a day. I just want to cup them in my own hands and tell them it's going to be okay.
- The bloat... This has got to be one of the worst symptoms. That feeling of not being able to fit into your favourite jeans is a horrible one. It's one thing when you've got a parasite feeding off your insides and quite another when you just think you're getting fat.
- The emotional roller coaster...Crying at the drop of a hat, yelling at the people I love, maniacal laughter complete with uncontrollable snorting. The hormone shifts are literally bringing me to my knees as well as the people around me. I'm pretty sure The Man has been wanting to slap me across the face to bring me back to reality.
I'm scared to find out given everything that is happening right now. Am I ready for the possibility of being pregnant when our lives are turned upside down and inside out? What happens if "the lump" turns out to be a troublesome health issue? I am thinking it's best to stay oblivious until I absolutely have to be informed.
So I pose the question... Do I or don't I?
Everything you're describing is me on a monthly basis. Totally sucks ass. In fact, I'm in the middle of a curl up and die time while sitting at my desk.
ReplyDeleteGo take the test so you can reassure yourself its just your body coming down off birth control and then you can get onto worrying about all that other stuff.
Just went back and re-read "IUD"... Scarring from that too??
ReplyDeleteAbove still applies and more so.
Why is everybody's the voice of reason except my own? *sigh* Fine then.
ReplyDeleteAlso... Every month?!?!? Jebus!
Hey, that was me every month too. For years, and years, and years. Hang on in there sweetie. Take the test if it will reassure you, not everyone else. They have to take the rough with the smooth you know! :-)

Take the test. I had major cramps after I had the IUD out but I thought that was just me....because I also had a tubal ligation which later herniated. Ah - such fun being female:) No seriously though, take the test then if the cramps get bad you can take some good drugs without worrying:)
