Pardon me?
Yes, I said it, Black and Orange Day.

This is the newest infringement on children's rights to dress up as their favourite superhero, super villain, princess or ghoul on a day meant for fun, imagination, creepiness and candy. The PC police strike again! The reasoning? To keep October 31st inclusive for children of all cultures. How can dressing up, eating food and collecting candy be offensive to anybody? Is it because of the make-believe vampires, ghosts and zombies? Hey adults...you know that shit isn't real, right?
I understand that Halloween traditions come from ancient Pagan celebrations as well as Christian traditions but it has been bastardised to the point of losing it's original names of Sahmain and All Hallows' Eve. There is nothing religious about this celebration anymore, well not as far as kids are concerned anyway. I'm pretty sure they're not looking for god or dead souls in their candy bags.
It gets very tiring watching children suffer at the hands of weirdo adults that try to appease everybody in a country with very established traditions. When I was a kid and there were kids in my school that couldn't celebrate certain holidays, they left the room and were given some other fun activity to do. If the parents of said children are going to impose their beliefs on their own children, why do the majority have to suffer? It's fucking ridiculous to cater to the minority. Should the time come when my family is forced to rid our kids of Halloween celebrations and celebrate "black and orange" day, all society will get from me is a big "Fuck you" and a kid dressed as a pumpkin in black face. You want orange and black, you'll bloody well get it.
